Celebrity Big Brother 2012: Lee Ryan dropped for Romeo after demanding too much cash!

Celebrity Big brother bosses have reportedly dropped Lee Ryan from their lineup this year and replaced him with So Solid star Romeo.

Insiders say that the former Blue singer was getting too big for his boots and despite having initially agreed a fee of £175,000, the 28 year old star changed his mind and tried to pressure producers into upping his money substantially.

Sources say that bosses felt the dad of two was already being overpaid for his involvement in the reality TV show and told him he was off the series.

A source told The Sun: “Lee was all set to go but then he wanted more than £175,000. There was already a pretty high figure for him so the decision was made to call it a day with him and find someone cheaper.

“There’s no doubt he’d have been good value but we can’t be held to ransom like that.”

We are kind of disappointed by the news. In an interview with the New! magazine on 27 April 2010, Ryan confessed he had threesomes with his bandmate Duncan James, while answering the question about James bisexuality. We were hoping that he and Frankie Cocozza would hit it off inside the house!

MC Romeo will now reportedly replace Lee in the famous house, when the new series of celebrity Big Brother starts tomorrow night.

He has plenty of reality TV experience as in 2004 Romeo appeared in the reality show The Games, and returned to the series to compete in the Champion of Champions contest in 2006. The 31 year old also featured in a gameshow called Fool Around With… Romeo on Channel 4 in 2005, in which he had to guess which girl out of four was single and appeared in an episode of ‘Don’t Tell The Bride’ on BBC Three in 2009, as the best man for his brother, Darnell Dawkins.
