For the last days the Great British public have been voting to save their favourite housemate and they were able to back Danica Thrall, Rhian Sugden, The Situation and Samantha Brick and choose which star they wanted to stay in the Celebrity Big brother house and who they wanted to leave.

Before the result was announced this evening, each of the contestants were allowed to address the nation for 20 seconds and explain why they want to stay and why they deserve people’s votes.

Danica didn’t come close to filling the 20 seconds, simply saying:

I would love to stay because I would love to change the boos, I don’t know why people are booing…so please vote for me.

Rhian didn’t wax lyrical for long either, saying:

I’d like to stay because I’d like to learn more things in here and have a bit more fun, as I’ve not had much of that yet.

Samantha Brick decided to play on the fact that she’s a bit of a domestic goddess and gushed:

I’d like to stay in the house because we’ve just had a shopping delivery and I’d like to continue cooking for my housemates. There are lots of people in here that still need looking after and I like to mother, so vote for me.

The Situation was slightly more eloquent than Danica and Rhian but not much more imaginative. He concluded:

I would like to stay because I am genuine, consistent and I’d like to stay for the last week to make my fans and the British public proud.

Brian Dowling came back to the house a few minutes later and revealed that after the lines had closed, the person with the most votes was The Situation. Also safe from eviction was Danica, meaning that Rhian Sugden or Samantha Brick will be sent home later this evening.

The only problem is that we have to wait more than an hour to find out who is going and who gets to stay.
