Denise Welch has won Celebrity Big Brother 2012!

A emotional but clearly delighted Denise had the usual eviction countdown from fellow Geordie Marcus Bentley, who added, “Haway the lass!” just before the doors opened for Denise to step out of the CBB house as this year’s winner.

The cheering for Denise was rapturous and in true style, she flashed her bra as she left. Dang I love this woman!

Denise wept as Brian led her into the studio for the interview and she spotted her dad. Bless.

However, when Brian asked if she could believe she was the winner, she said, “That first night, as I was last in, I thought I’d been forgotten about!”

But of course, she wasn’t and three weeks later, she’s the winner…

She added, “I’m not going to be modest; it feels bloody brilliant!”

Brian then brought up the fact that Denise has had a “stormy” three weeks, and inevitably, Pantsgate reared its head yet again.

Of her row with Nicola – who of course stepped into Denise’s row with Karissa – Denise said, “As I told Nicola, I don’t regret what I said [to her] but I do regret how I said it.

“But, because I bottled it all up, a few sherries later, it all came out, so I apologised, but there were a couple of things hurting me, and I’m not very good at saying them.

“But that’s something I hope I’ll take out; that I can confront things before they escalate to that point.”

Next on the agenda was Denise’s taciturn friendship/hatred with – or for – Michael, of which she said, “To the day I die, I will not understand that man! Some of the best laughs I had I the house were with Michael…

“But it’s made me learn that not everybody’s going to like me.”

Brian then showed Denise a montage of clips in which she was getting topless, and generally, “getting down with the kids” as Brian put it.

Of the clips, Denise said, “I was just trying to prove to the twins that you don’t need to have a boob job!”

She added, “I did regret it [going topless into the hot tub] later, but I was with Frankie and Kirk, who brought so much life to the house, and having those two naughty boys there was brilliant.”

Brian then said, “On a serious note, what will you take from your experience with us?”

To which Denise replied, “That I can’t please all the people all the time, and that I need to confront situations before they escalate, and I like not waking up with a hangover.”

She then intimated that would not apply tomorrow.

Of what she would have done differently if she could go back, Denise said, “It’s difficult to say Brian until I see it back, because…”

However, due to time running severely out, the interview ended and Denise got to see her best bits!
