Celebrity Big Brother 2013: Bruce Jones worries about Carol McGiffin’s drinking, Lauren Harries on medication for mental problems & Louie Spence is grieving for his mum
Celebrity Big Brother housemate Lauren Harries can seem a bit eccentric and unstable at times and it’s been reported that the former child prodigy is taking prescribed medication while on the reality TV show to cope with mental illness.
The 35 has led a troubled life to date and has admitted publicly that she suffers from depression and has many self esteem issues. The blonde star was visiting the diary room and asking Big Brother for her tablets within hours of entering the house and a show source told The Daily Star that they hoped Lauren being in the spotlight on Channel 5 would help raise awareness of mental health issues.
Meanwhile Bruce Jones has had his fair share of ups and downs outside the house and last weekend the former alcoholic admitted that he is worried about how much drink Carol McGiffin is consuming.
The former Coronation Street actor asked the Loose Women panellist:
“Have you got a problem?”
Carol replied: “Probably. I like it. I don’t need it but I like it.”
Meanwhile, Louie Spence is reportedly incredibly worried that he will break down in the house because he is still grieving for his mum who died last year.
The 44 year old choreographer lost his mother in December and is still struggling to cope and speaking to the newspaper just days before CBB launched last week he said:
“Getting upset about mum is the one thing I’m worried about going into the show because it’s still very raw.
“It’s changed me as a person. Everything now is grey. There’s no colour in my life. That’s what it feels like.
“Everything now is grey. There’s no colour in my life”
“It was the worst thing that could have happened to me.”
Louie is favourite to win the reality TV show, and he needs the approval as he cancelled most of his work commitments earlier in the year because of his bereavement.
One source of constant support to him was his close pal Emma Bunton and he admitted that the Spice Girls singer has been a dedicated friend to him, saying:
“You know, she was contacting me every day.
“She came to my mum’s funeral, she just made an effort.”
