Celebrity Big Brother 2013: Davina McCall would love to be a housemate in the new series!
Former Big Brother presenter Davina McCall has revealed that she would love to be a housemate in the forthcoming new series of Celebrity Big Brother, however she’s promised her husband Matthew Robertson that she won’t appear on the Channel 5 show.
Davina, who interviewed over 100 contestants when she hosted the show, told the Daily Star, “Initially, I thought it would be fun to go on, even for a night.
“Then Matthew said: ‘I have to share a lot of you, I don’t want to share you sleeping’.
“I was like: ‘OK, you win!’”
So far, the rumoured line-up for the new series, which kicks off on January 3rd, includes X Factor’s Rylan Clark, jockey Frankie Dettori, ex-EastEnders star Gillian Taylforth and comic Jim Davidson.
Also rumoured to be going into the house are Aussie soap Ryan Moloney who plays Jarrod ‘Toadfish’ Rebecchi, and former Corrie actor Sam Robertson who played the part of Adam Barlow.
Tricia Penrose, who’s best known for her role in Heartbeat as barmaid Gina Ward, is also thought to be going in.
A programme insider told the Mirror, “Whatever way you look at it, soap operas are really successful…
“Having so many stars from those shows can only be a boost for the Big Brother house.”
And as we revealed recently, the newly designed house has an ice hotel theme, complete with igloo and assorted other rooms which are apparently designed to encourage house romances and fights!
