Celebrity Big Brother 2013 launch date confirmed – Brian Dowling wants Rylan Clark!

Celebrity Big Brother is almost upon us!

It has been confirmed today that the winter series of the Channel 5 reality TV show will launch on the 3rd of January 2013 and apparently it will be a star studded affair.

The launch night episode will air at 9pm on Channel 5 and will, as usual, be fronted by Irish star and former housemate Brian Dowling.

Emma Willis will once again take the reigns on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side and the first show of the series will go out after the main episode ends, at 11pm.

Stars linked to the new series have included Meatloaf, Katie Price and Rylan Clark and Brian would love to see at least one of those celebs on the lineup.

He told Metro that he would enjoy seeing Rylan following in Frankie Cocozza’s footsteps now that he’s left The X Factor and said:

“I’d love Rylan on the show. I think Rylan would be great purely because he’s camp, he’s loud, he’s colourful and he’s got a personality and that makes for the best housemates, and he’s very, very popular right now. He’s got a big fanbase from being on The X Factor. I think he’d be a great housemate.

“I’d like to see Rylan in a situation where he’s uncomfortable. You know, how does Rylan react to conflict?”

Clark might be too busy to take part, because he just turned down the chance to star in TOWIE this week, because he claimed to have too much work on.

We think Mario Falcone’s insults might have had more to do with it though!

Celebrity Big Brother’s fourth Channel 5 series starts in less than one month’s time. Are you excited? Leave your comments below…
