Celebrity Big Brother 2013 lineup: Neil Razor Ruddock replacing Jim Davidson?
Neil Razor Ruddock has reportedly been lined up as a surprise addition to the Celebrity Big Brother lineup tonight.
The show kicks off later this evening and it’s been claimed that the former professional footballer has been drafted in as an emergency replacement for comedian Jim Davidson.
Davidson returned to the UK yesterday to appear on the Channel 5 reality TV series, however he was arrested at Heathrow airport as part of the Jimmy Savile Yewtree investigation. He has since been released on bail but can obviously not go on to star on CBB.
Neil will now reportedly step into Jim’s shoes and he has plenty of reality TV experience. In 2004, he appeared on the third series of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and later exploited his new celebrity status by recording a charity single, a version of Jungle Rock, with fellow contestants Lord Brocket, Peter Andre and Mike Read.
In 2011, he appeared in Celebrity Total Wipeout on BBC1, coming last. He also appeared in James May’s Man Lab on BBC2, coaching James May on how to score a penalty kick in front of 20,000 Germans.
The Guardian reports that bosses scrambled to sign him for the series last night, even though Davidson was released on police bail last night and ‘strenuously’ denies all allegations made against him.
Neil Ruddock is set to join stars such as X Factor’s Rylan Clark, Eastenders’ star Gillian Taylforth, The Hills stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt and model Lacey Banghard when Celebrity Big Brother stars tonight at 9PM.
