It’s been claimed today that Bobbi Kristina, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston, is to star in the forthcoming new series of Celebrity Big Brother, which is due to launch just days after the current regular version of the show ends.
The Sunday People reports, “Bobbi Kristina Brown, who got engaged to her adopted ‘brother’ Nick Gordon last month, will get £300,000 to appear on the Channel 5 reality show this autumn.”
Since her mother’s death on February 11, 2012 – Whitney was found dead in a hotel and a post-mortem revealed that she’d drowned in the bath tub – Bobbi’s family and friends have been concerned for her as it was alleged in the media that she was going off the rails, and it was also claimed that she was dabbling in drugs.
At the time, her father Bobby Brown said he would “always be worried” about his daughter taking drugs, and last week, her grandmother Cissy wrote an open letter to Bobbi saying, “I want you to have a good life that you can be proud of.”
But of the news that she will be going into the Celebrity Big Brother house, a show insider said, “We have had some madcap contestants over the years but Bobbi Kristina could be the most controversial yet.
“She’s sure to bring in viewers with her bizarre antics, and of course her memories of Whitney.
“Her parents were some of the most notorious hellraisers in music and Bobbi Kristina has had plenty of attention for her own behaviour.”
Other stars tipped for the show are former I’m a Celeb contestant Helen Flanagan, shamed former X Factor judge Tulisa, ex-football pundit Ron Atkinson, singer Peter Andre and Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby.
We will of course keep you posted when we hear more about who may be joining the line-up of celebrity housemates, but for now, here’s a reminder of a report about how Bobbi reacted after her mother died…
