Nicola McLean showed her selfish side last night, when she willingly shredded half of the Celebrity Big Brother housemates’ letters from home, so that she could receive her own.

The mum of two didn’t take more than a few seconds to think about her choice during a surprise task and told her group:

I’d shred theirs for mine, I’m being honest. The girls have not got children and neither does Frankie. People with children should have a letter so that we know our kids are alright.

After shredding Denise, Gareth, the twins and Frankie’s messages from home, the WAG cried and wept like a baby as Gareth read her letter from husband Tom Williams.

She was clearly touched as he recounted stories about her young sons and the stars were excited when the footballer extended an invitation to them all, inviting them round to his and Nicola’s house when the series is over.
