Celebrity Big Brother: Shilpa Shetty Offered BBC Sitcom Role
And the job offers have started to roll in….
The word is that Celebrity Big Brother winner Shilpa Shetty is to be offered a lead role in a new BBC comedy - set in an Indian call centre.
Sanjeev Bhaskar, star of The Kumars at No 42 is one of the scriptwriters for the show and he was in Mumbai yesterday for talks with Shilpa’s agents.
He said: “She would be perfect for the show. If she is keen, I will write her a part.
“She has shown she appeals to the British viewing public and that cannot be ignored now by screenwriters back in London.”
I actually think Shilpa would be fabulous in a comedy type show and this might be the break she needs to make it in the UK.
