Celebrity Big Brother: Should Ulrika Jonsson Have Left Her 7 Month Old Baby?

Celebrity Big Brother housemate, Ulrika Jonsson has come under fire this weekend from some of her fellow BB residents. A number of them think that she never should have left her seven month old baby to appear on the show.
Socialist politician Tommy Sheridan said: “Seven months is young to leave a child unless you have to. Lots of women don’t have the choice – they have to go back to work because it’s an economic thing.”
In fairness to Ulrika, she has made no secret of the fact that her decision to enter the BB house was made because of the economic benefit to her and her family. Rumours suggest that the Swedish TV presenter was paid a whopping £175,000 to spend three weeks on the show, a sum that couldn’t be turned down easily.
I think that people need to remember that Ulrika is not a single mum….not yet anyway. Her baby is currently being looked after by his father, the man who is jointly responsible for his creation!
Ulrika is not, as far as I can tell, inundated with offers of quality TV work, she has done well to so far avoid the sleazy MTV reality show route and I don’t think anyone can seriously criticise her for jumping at the chance to earn almost two hundred grand for three weeks worth of work.
So do you think that Ulrika could be classed as a ‘bad mother’ for agreeing to appear on the Channel 4 reality TV show? Let us know below…..
