The sister of Celebrity Big Brother housemate Stephen Baldwin has insisted that her brother isn’t a crazy bible basher.

Instead she says he is just “my little brother who never grew up.”

“He’s not crazy, he’s just misunderstood,” Elizabeth, 54 told Closer magazine. “He just wants to help.”

Elizabeth believes that Stephens addictions to drugs and alcohol started when their father died. Stephen was just 16 at the time.

She said: “When our dad died it had a huge impact on Stephen. There was no father figure in his life any more.

“When you enter a world where people have a lot of money and fame, there are some who will pull you in the wrong direction. Stephen lost himself for a while.”

On his preaching and evangelising in the Big Brother house Elizabeth claimed:

“He doesn’t want to offend anyone, but feels he now has a message to give.”
