Rumours are rife at the moment that Sir Cliff Richard may be going to appear in the Celebrity edition of Big Brother, which is back in January after ‘resting’ for a year. And for resting, read, ‘hiding in disgrace’ following the racism debacle.

Apparently, the show’s producers are keen to sign Sir Cliff in the hope that he’ll let slip on air about some of the many ‘secrets’ which have always dogged him. Such as, why he’s still single and is he in fact gay?

Last month, in his autobiography the original Bachelor Boy said that for the past seven years he’s been sharing his home with a man, ex-Catholic priest Father John McElynn, 53, who Cliff even refers to as his “companion” so BB bosses are praying Cliff might ‘come out’ on screen in the house.

Other celebs rumoured to be in talks about going on Celebrity BB include ex-Sugababe Mutya Buena and soul diva Whitney Houston.
