Jeff Brazier talks about life as a single dad

Jeff Brazier has spoken about how his role as a father has changed since the death of his sons mother, Jade Goody.

Just days before Jade spoke from beyond the grave, Jeff told Hello magazine: “I appreciate more than ever now that being the weekend dad can be a bit of a glory role.”

He added: “When you have your children three days a week, you’re the one that takes them swimming and does things with them. Now I’m mindful of trying to keep that quality time.”

Jeff split from long-term girlfriend Amy Purcell nine months ago, but has no plans to start another relationship.

He said: “You can’t bring someone into a situation like this… not at the minute anyway.

“The boys have always had a lot of people in their life and they certainly have that now. A lot of great people are giving their time to my children, and I’m very grateful.

“I certainly feel that I’m doing everything right by my children. The thing that’s got me through this whole situation is that I’m very good at adapting – and so are a four-year-old and a six-year-old, so we’re in a great position at the moment. We’re in pretty good shape.”

I think that Jeff is a brilliant dad, he loves the boys and
puts them first and understands their needs. The boys are
going to be able to grow up feeling loved, wanted, cared for
and secure. I also like the way he does not bad mouth their
mum Jade and keeps her memory alive for the boys. Defiantely
a celebrity dad of the year.
