Julian Clary starts his new tour on Friday and hopes to include some tales from the Celebrity Big Brother house
Julian Clary has announced that his new live tour “POSITION VACANT. APPLY WITHIN.” will start on Friday in Brighton. The camp comic has revealed that in the show he is looking for love.
He will speed date men in his audience and hopes to marry someone at the end of the show in a “civil partnership”.
The official press release says:
””Hello, punters”, he says. “Know any half decent men? Might you bring them along so I can meet them?”
Julian will be scouring the UK in search of love. Position Vacant: Enquire Within is dedicated to one thing. Finding himself a husband. It’s not that he’s desperate. But he’s promised to leave no straight unturned.
“Because I’m still considered to be quite a catch and because the UK is noted for its heterosexuals on the cusp, there’s bound to be stiff competition”, says Julian. “Therefore I’ll be hosting ruthless elimination games. You can be sure of one thing. By the end of the evening, we’ll all be celebrating my new partnership.”
A glass of Blue Nun may be available to those who make an effort or anyone named Jason. But please bring your own confetti.”
His co writer has also revealed that Julian hopes to include some funny gossip from the Celebrity Big Brother house, which could be interesting.
Julian revealed to the Daily Express that there might be some surprised guests as well, including new friend Olympic judo athlete Ashley McKenzie. “He is just very sweet and funny. He said he and Harvey [MC Harvey of the group So Solid Crew] will come and see my tour when it arrives in London.”
We wonder how Julian will be able to re-write and learn his new show so fast and get eveything ready in time for Friday, but we are also certain that it will be wonderful.
