Katie Price accuses Jodie Marsh of “feeding fans a lie” over controversial slimming pills ‘Semtex’
And while writing in her newspaper column, her fellow reality TV personality Katie Price has spoken out about the debacle and added that she believes Jodie – who formerly starred in Celebrity Big Brother – is “feeding her fans a lie” by claiming that the pills can aid weight loss.
Writing in The Sun, Katie remarked, “Jodie is either plain stupid or being badly advised…
“We’ve all heard the sob story about how she trained so hard to transform her body into the muscle machine it is today.
“I believed Jodie when she said she achieved the change by spending eight hours a day in the gym and by eating 15 egg whites daily, washed down with protein shakes.
“So much for the hippy diet.”
And of naming her tablets Semtex, which is of course an explosive substance favoured by terrorists for the catastrophic damage it causes, Katie wrote, “Relatives of IRA bomb victims are ‘disgusted’ that Jodie has linked her £30 pills to the killer plastic explosive and demanding that she stops selling them.
“I agree. They should come off the market for this reason and the fact that Jodie has fed her fans a lie.”
However, Jodie hit back via Twitter, saying, “So KP, everyone over size 10 is a heffer & we should all just have lipo instead of eating healthy & using #Semtex to get fit? #badrolemodel.”
She later added, “My products are food & fuel to help you get the perfect toned body.
“By that I do not mean skinny, I promote health & fitness & exercise xx.
“All athletes (with perfect bodies ie Jessica Ennis) will eat extra protein to give the body what it needs.
“It’s not about starving yourself.”
I’m sure it won’t be the last we hear of this because of course, Katie and Jodie have been engaged in a war of words for years!
For now though, here’s an entertainment news report about Katie and Jodie’s spats…
