LaToya Jackson lands her own reality TV show
The 56-year-old singer-and-actress has signed a deal with the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) to appear in ‘Life With La Toya’.
LaToya will be followed by cameras that will film every aspect of her day-to-day activities from her business dealings to her life with her famous family and she can’t wait to get started.
In a statement, she said: “I am so pleased to be working with television legend Oprah Winfrey and to be a part of the OWN family. This will be one of the most exciting adventures of my life.”
OWN co-president Sheri Salata added: “We are delighted to work with LaToya to bring this new show to OWN viewers.”
The series will be produced by World of Wonder with Ja-Tail Television Exec and will be produced by La Toya, Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Jeffre Phillips and Charles Cook. It is scheduled to premiere in 2013.
Yesterday it was reported that LaToya was thrilled With Russia’s Olympic Tribute To her brother the late King Of Pop. Russia’s synchronised swimmers performed a Michael Jackson-inspired routine at the London 2012 Olympics. Russian teammates Natalia Ischenko and Svetlana Romashina donned sparkling bathing suits emblazoned with the King of Pop’s image and performed his trademark dance moves to his track They Don’t Care About Us in the technical round this week.
The duo went on to win gold over Spain, and Michael’s older sister La Toya was thrilled with their accomplishment.
She tells Tmz.com, “I’m thankful for the honour that the Olympian swimmers paid to my brother Michael’s memory. It is so wonderful to see how many global fans he has!”
