Michael Barrymore Makes His Comeback On Channel Four’s Friday Night Project

Michael Barrymore will make his big TV comeback this week on Channel Four’s show the Friday Night Project. The presenter follows in the footsteps of TV personalities like Lorraine Kelly, Kelly Osbourne and Vinnie Jones who have also presented the show alongside comedians Justin Lee Collins and Alan Carr.

This will be Barrymore’s first TV appearance since leaving the Celebrity Big Brother house, and his first presenting job since he fled to New Zealand.

I started watching the Friday Night Project only a couple of weeks ago, the episode with Lorraine Kelly. Alan and Justin are fantastic!

Barrymore was noticably nervous on the night, but he had some cracker moments including a really biting impersonation of Alan Carr. I loved it when Carr got his own back by doing an impression of Barrymore on Strike It Lucky!

I’m still not sure if Barrymore will last the distance post-Big Brother, I still see him as a sort of 80’s relic.
