The shock exit of Natasha Giggs from the Celebrity Big Brother house last night completed a tasty double for punters backing the outsiders in this year’s CBB as the 5/1 outsider walked with 1/9 Nicola McLean living to fight another day.

Michael Masden has finally overtaken Natalie Cassidy as the favourite to win the show and is now 5/2 with the former EastEnder 3/1.

“With the way in which our punters have been coming in for Michael, we predicted that it was only going to be a matter of time until he was the favourite, but we didn’t think that it would happen so soon,” said Hill’s spokesman Joe Crilly. “He is being so well backed that he could be on course to become the most popular CBB housemate for quite some time.”

After having a fight with Madsen, Denise Welch’s odds of winning have gone the other way and she is 4/1 from 3/1 to win.

“Michael is just being himself, which is what punters are looking for,” Crilly added. “It surely only a matter of time until he becomes our favourite to win.”
