Nicola McLean wants to replace Brian Dowling on Big Brother 2012

Despite the fact that she left the Celebrity Big Brother house to a chorus of boos last month, former housemate Nicola McLean has admitted that she would love to present Big Brother when it returns this summer.

The WAG became one of the most unpopular contestants on this year’s series of the reality TV show, after she became embroiled in a vicous row with her former pal Denise Welch, in defence of American twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon.

However, Nicola doesn’t see this as a reason why she wouldn’t make a good host and told The Daily Star:

“I’d love to present Big Brother. I’m still a huge fan.”

Somehow we can’t see Channel 5 bosses offering her the role, after she recently admitted that taking part in the series was the ‘worst decision’ of her life.

Thankfully current presenter Brian Dowling insisted that he isn’t intending on leaving any time soon, so McLean shouldn’t be getting her hopes up.

He laughed:

“There’s no vacancy, but if one comes up Big Brother will get back to her,” he said.

Big Brother auditions kick off in Manchester this weekend, where former housemate Kerry Katona will be overseeing the hopefuls. If you are planning to try out then check out our auditionees forum here.
