Richard Bacon has hit out at Celebrity Big brother star Stephen Baldwin for preaching to his fellow housemates.

“Let no-one say the legacy of Celebrity Big Brother is dumbing down TV, or encouraging an obsession with celebrity,” Richard wrote in The Sun said.

“After watching Stephen Baldwin evangelising on this latest series,” the BBC Radio 5 Live DJ continued, “it has left us with a brand new legacy – a new generation of devout atheists.”

“If there is a God, he must be watching Stephen Baldwin in the house (he’s omnipotent, after all) and thinking, ‘I’ve got to get myself some better spokespeople’.”
