TV astrologer Russell Grant has admitted that he turned down the chance to appear on Channel 4′s Celebrity Big Brother.

The 58-year-old revealed that bosses had offered him £250,000 to sign up for the reality TV show, but said thathe was forced to decline as he feared that he would be allergic to the air conditioning in the Big Brother house.

Russell told The Daily Star: “I told them I couldn’t do it because I was allergic to air-conditioning.

“They said they’d build me a Wendy house. Talk about carry on camping! I’d freeze to death in there in January.”

It could be a sheer coincidence, but during Unreality TV’s tour of the BB house today we were informed that there is to be a surprise structure built in the garden before launch. Maybe Russell will end up in there after all!
