Ice Skating legend, Christopher Dean has been told that he won’t be able to perform when Dancing On Ice returns to ITV1 this month after sustaining a shoulder injury.

Christopher seriously injured his shoulder whilst filming for the show’s Christmas Special and was rushed into hospital for surgery. He is now recovering and will be able to appear and mentor on this years Dancing On Ice however we will miss out on his and Jayne Torvills stunning performances until he is back on top form.

An insider told The Sun: “Everyone was really worried as he is a key part of the show.

“If his injury had knocked him out completely it would have been a disaster.

“He is due to appear when the show returns in January. He won’t be allowed to dance with Jayne or by himself until docs give him the all-clear.”

What a shame. One of the big attractions of the show, for me anyway, is Chris’ gorgeous bum in his tight skating trousers! This is a bit of a travesty don’t you think?
