Suzanne Shaw returned to the ice tonight, to celebrate 80s week on Dancing On Ice but it sounded like she was still smarting from last week’s loss.
The actress lost her duel to Ray Quinn and found herself in danger of elimination, so she wanted to make her routine even more difficult tonight.
However the moves proved challenging to the star and during training she managed to cut her partner Matt Evers on the neck and take more falls than she could count.
Tonight, the pair skated to 80s classic Let’s Hear It For The Boy by Deniece Williams and they looked the retro part in their day-goo pink outfits. matt certainly rocked the awful hair with his dodgy wig too.
The routine was fast and fun and Shaw is an amazing skater, however when the pair tried out their neck spin it looked a little bit shaky to us.
Most of the judges enjoyed the routine, though returning expert Nicky Slater – who was filling in for Robin Cousins – wasn’t so sure.
ASHLEY ROBERTS: Big hair, cheesy smile, I loved the story. Suzanne you always commit to the performance and I thought it was a great start to the show.
KAREN BARBER: The elements were there and the control was there. I think you’re back. Well done.
JASON GARDINER: Nobody can fault you for a wonderful performance, the trouble is I think tonight it was more novelty over content. I missed a lot of the excitement and you raising your own personal bar.
NICKY SLATER: The presentation was excellent but my expectations are not in par with the skating. I have seen you skate on big ice, take more risks and go faster. I would like to see more skating and daring.
