Hayley Tamaddon has had a tough time in Dancing On Ice rehearsals this week, as she’s been without her usual professional partner.
The Coronation Street star has been forced to practice alone, or with stand in pro Andy Buchanan, after Dan Whiston suffered an arm injury during the week.
It’s been pretty hard on both stars and Hayley revealed:
“Dan’s arm injury has been quite bad and we have had to have about four days off, with just me marking it on the ice and having a stand in, which was Andy Buchanan.”
“It was amazing having someone to do it with but we didn’t know until yesterday that Dan was going to be part of the show.”
Tonight will see Hayley and Dan taking to the ice twice. They will do one routine as normal and one using high wires, which will allow the actress to glide and float above the rink.
They’ve got some exciting stuff planned and she explained:
“We have got two routines, one flying, one normal….I say normal. It isn’t at all. It is amazingly fast, it is full of lots of tricks and energy and has lots of things in it. Fingers crossed we do it well.”
The pair have devised a brand new lift for their flying performance and the brunette beauty gushed:
“Last time me and Dan flew together it was four years ago and we created what we call the flying bird lift, where Dan lay on top of my back. This time round we thought we needed to come up with a new lift where I pick Dan up. We have one and I am literally a muscle woman now. I pick him up and sweep him straight across the ice.”
Get you indeed! Tune in to watch Hayley and Dan perform on tonight’s Dancing On Ice semi final at 6.15pm, ITV1.
