Dancing On Ice can be tough on celebrities.
The stars have to train for hours every day, spend every waking hour of the weekend in Elstree studios, balance the hectic rehearsal and filming schedule with their day jobs and their families, but never…..never did we realise things could be this hard!
Ray Quinn has been speaking out about the massive sacrifices he had to make when he decided to return to the ITV show for it’s final series and we warn you, they are pretty major!
Well no, actually we suppose they’re not but the former Brookside star has had to give up taking milk in his tea, which we think you’ll agree is a real life
first world problem hardship.
The former X Factor runner up (remember he used to sing with Leona Lewis!) had a pot belly last year you see so when bosses asked him to return to the rink he realised he had eight weeks to quickly lose two stone. Ray told The Daily Star that he now eats avocado, no stodge and he drinks black tea.
He likes other black liquids too, and Quinn tweeted his fans this week saying:
“Been on a shoot all evening! Keep 👀 out! very exciting! But 4 now pint of Guinness and a big old steak! Haven’t eaten since 4pm! #hardcore”
There are over 300 calories in a pint of Guinness, so clearly Quinn isn’t too strict with himself. Phew!
The dad of one will return to the rink this weekend for the Dancing On Ice semi final and he won’t only be skating, he’ll be flying too.
It’s lucky that Ray is now light as a feather, because the handsome singer will be suspended by high wires above the rink for most of one of his routines.
Rehearsals for the swooping and gliding are proving difficult for some stars and Hayley Tamaddon admitted yesterday that she’s bruised and battered from the experience.
Watch Ray’s last attempt at flying and leave your comments below…
