DANCING ON ICE – THE TOUR 2008

Following the hugely successful UK tour of Dancing On Ice earlier this year, skating legends Torvill & Dean will take to the ice across the country once more in April 2008. They will be joined on tour by an all-star celebrity line-up, including England
football legend David Seaman, who starred in the first series of the hit ITV1 show. More celebrity names will be announced over the coming weeks.
David Seaman and the skating celebrities will travel with mentors Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean (who will perform several of their favourite routines at each show) all over the UK. The six-week tour, which kicks off in Sheffield Arena on 4 April, runs until mid May and will travel to Arenas in Nottingham, Birmingham, London, Liverpool and Mancheste
The judging panel will be rink-side at each show to critique the celebrity routines. Olympic gold medal winner Robin Cousins will lead the all familiar panel of ice judges.
In addition, the Arena audiences will have a chance to vote too. Replicating the format of the TV show, they will be able to use their mobile phones to vote for their favourite celebrity dancing couple. The audience votes will then be added to the scores from the panel of ice judges to decide the winner. Once the votes have been counted, the winning celebrity will join their skating partner to perform a magical finale. As per last year, all profits from text voting will go to charity.

Disappointed as there seems to be no dancing on ice shows coming to Scotland.
i booked tkts to see dancing on ice the tour last yr 2007, but it got cancelled due to food poisioning. we were already seated when andi peters announced that it was canx…..so im gutted that they are not coming back to glasgow. NO SCOTLAND DATES…THATS NOT FAIR.
Why is there no show planned for Glasgow this year when it was a sell out last year and it had to be cancelled at the eleventh hour, in fact, when people were seated!!!!
same as before i was booked for lasy year to is dancing on ice not coming to glasgow ?????
why are you not all emailing the dancing on ice website to ask why it’s not coming to glasgow – maybe if enough people did it they would put on a couple of shows!
i agree with everyone else, dancin on ice should be coming to glasgow!!! they came here last year, so why not this year??! please put on a couple of shows for all the people in scotland, and i’d be thankful if you would contact me with details if the show does come to glasgow.

I am so dissapointed there is no tour in Scotland i have been looking forward to this.
There are loads of support in Sctland for this show and we vote every week
cant something be done about this.
I am truely disappointed that my
daughters have been left unable to
get to a scottish show this year.(utter devestation from my 10 yr oild who since the last tour has taken up skating lessons and achieved 10 badges, bronze passport, and is working for silver.) Braehead is an adequate venue so excuses given are insulting that we “Scottish ” get no show>
Pleeeeese pleeeeese pleeeeeese why no dancing on ice show.

We too feel extremely disappointed that the 2008 tour is not coming to Glasgow, especially when they let the Scottish fan’s down last year!!
We don’t understand it as they have alot of scottish fan’s.
Does anyone on here have an email address to get in touch with stv or dancing on ice about this??
Ridiculous dancing on ice aint coming to Glasgow – they expect you to vote but wont even bring the show to Glasgow. We should ban it next year. Really disappointing, lost of kids love it
im gutted that it isnt coming to Glasgow. how can they call it a uk tour when it isnt coming to glasgow or wales?
typical are those english so much better than us? they can keep the show we should rebuild hadrians wall to keep them out.
I think it is terrible that the show is not coming to Glasgow, my little girl would have loved to see the live show as she has watched it every week and voted, she has even been going ice skating with the school for the last 4 weeks and is considering taking it up. We cannot travel to see the show and I don’t thnk we will be watching it next year.
