Dancing on Ice’s oldest competitor, Aggie Mackenzie, has suffered a hamstring injury after taking a tumble during training with dancing partner Sergey Malyshev.

The incident happened late on Thursday night during rehearsals for this week’s opening show. After practicing a turn with dance partner Sergey, Aggie missed her footing and took a nasty fall. Her partner Sergey became worried after Aggie failed to get up and paramedics were rushed on to the ice to assist. Aggie was then removed from the ice and treated at the side of the rink where she was left in tears and shaken.

The shows physiotherapist said “Aggie’s pulled her hamstring. It’s a very painful injury but we’re hoping she’s going to be fine for the show but it will hamper her performance”
