Dancing On Ice 2008: Ruthie Henshall New Judge
West End star, Ruthie Henshall, has been named as the new judge for this years Dancing On Ice extravaganza!
Henshall has had a glittering career to date and appeared in countless major shows such as Chicago, Cats and Oliver.
She told The Sun: “Really and truthfully I think there is so much to the show other than the technicality of what you see on the ice.
“I know from my dance career that there are times when technically you’re not on the ball but you’re putting your heart and soul into it. You have to actually give it the face. Often you can get away with murder if the top half of you looks great!”
And Ruthie thinks she will bring a new element to the judging panel.
She said: “You’ve got quite a few people on the panel who are experts on the skating and I just don’t think it only comes down to that.
“I’ve had nearly 22 years in the business and so I really want to bring that experience of watching people doing very, very different shows; everything from Chicago to Cats.”

That Ruth has no sence, she gives jeremy low points for singing but then gives zoe more points and praise when she was nealy flat on her face. I really think that ruth does not like men, as she showed when she was arguing with nicky for having an opinion
Ruthie seriously has to go she has no idea what she is talking about she never makes any valuable points to the stars and she marks Colleen higher than Roxy. I think it’s fair to say Roxy isn’t the best but she is ten times better that Colleen and her explanation is “You just don’t do it for me” come on what kind of comment is that to make. Jason isn’t mad on Roxy either but he marks her on each performance and always gives good points to her. I think it’s time for her to move on and back to what she does best and leave the judging to people that actually know what they are talking about. She also picks a favourite from the early stages which seems to be Zoe and regardless of the fact Zoe almost went flat on her face she still marks her well but Roxy gives her best performance yet and she gets a 3, I think that tells you she doesn’t like Roxy and it is clearly affecting her judging abilities which means she is not right for the job.
