Former Eastenders actor, Todd Carty has revealed that he doesn’t miss working on soap opera’s one tiny bit.

Todd has worked on Grange Hill, Eastenders and The Bill during his long career, but he is enjoying working behind the camera now.

He told The Daily Star: “I’ve been doing some reasonably interesting things. I’ve directed six episodes of Doctors for the BBC and I’ve got a production company with my wife.”

Despite starring on Eastenders for more than a decade Todd added that he doesn’t watch the show regularly.

He said: “I think most actors will say that once you leave a soap you tend to shed your skin and you check in every now and again to see what’s going on but I’m certainly not an avid watcher.”

Todd will next appear on screen on ITV1’s Dancing On Ice this month.
