New Dancing On Ice judge Emma Bunton has admitted that she intends to be very honest in her critique of the contestants.

The former Spice Girl told The Daily Star that people may be expecting to see her ‘Baby Spice’ persona on the show, but said that she intends to be clear with the ice skating hopefuls.

Bunton said:

“Obviously I’m a very warm person but I’m also very honest about what I like to see in a performance,” she says.

“If I find something really exciting then I’ll be jumping up and down but, equally, if there’s something I’m not enjoying I will make that very clear.”

“Hopefully I’ll give advice in a helpful way as opposed to just being negative like some people.

“I adore Jason, I think he’s great but sometimes he’s a bit negative in his feedback and that’s what I don’t like.

“So if he’s negative rather than constructive then I will have to say something. Sometimes he is not right and I will definitely pick him up on that.”

“I know how nerve-racking it is for everyone but you still have to put on a good show,” she says.

“Even though I’ve been doing it for a long time I get very nervous whenever I perform, but I would say use that energy and put it into your performance.”
