Dancing On Ice 2010: Heather Mills insisted on non-leather ethical skates

Heather Mills has lived up to her diva reputation and demanded a specially crafted pair of ice skates for her stint on ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

The vegan former model insisted on a pair of skates not made from leather and bosses were forced to source her a £200 pair made of Clarino.

A source told The Daily Mail: ‘Heather is adamant that she will not wear leather, which is barely a step down from fur as far as she is concerned.

‘It was part of her conditions for going on the show, which also include an insistence that all her refreshments are vegan.

‘Vegan boots are not unheard of in ice-dancing because leather needs so much looking after, but they are not the standard by any means.’
