Proving that Dancing On Ice is one of the most dangerous reality TV shows around, Jayne Torvill almost managed to slice off Christopher Dean’s thumb in rehearsals this week.

As the pair were practicing the notorious headbanger move, which sees the male skater swing his partner up and down by her feet, Jayne’s skate blade caught Chris’s thumb and sliced him pretty deeply.

Understandably Hayley Tamaddon, who is expected to perform the headbanger this Sunday night, is terrified and worried that her partner will befall the same fate.

A source told The Sun: “Hayley is less than confident about the headbanger. It’s such tricky move and there’s so much danger.

“She’s worried for Dan’s hands and also for her head. If it goes wrong we could see a real disaster on live television.

“And she has been suffering from motion sickness so badly that she has hardly been able to rehearse it.

“At the moment we’re expecting to see blood, vomit or both on the rink on Sunday.”
