Dancing On Ice 2010: Sharron Davies’ ex wants on air apology from Jason Gardiner
The ex boyfriend of Dancing On Ice contestant Sharron Davies has asked that Jason Gardiner issue a public apology to her on tonight’s live show.
ITV have already forced Jason to issue a statement apologising for comparing Sharron to ‘faecal matter’ after she skated last week, but the olympic sprinter Derek Redmond doesn’t think that goes far enough.
Redmond told The News Of The World: “He publicly humiliated Sharron and was totally out of order.
“He’s a bully boy who likes upsetting people. But enough is enough.
“The least he can do is make a public apology to her live in TV – and he needs to show some sincerity.
“And if he was a big man he would step down. He needs to go.”
Derek added: “He should say sorry to Sharron after she’s danced and before the panel’s comments.
“He’s qualified to give an opinion but shouldn’t make it personal. If he doesn’t get sacked, hopefully he’ll get the punishment he deserves – no-one will respect him any more or listen to his nasty comments.”
