Sinitta has revealed that her old pal Simon Cowell advised her not to take part in ITV’s Dancing On Ice and insisted that she would make a fool of herself. Now the former pop star is desperate to prove him wrong when she makes her ice debut tonight.

Sinitta told The Dailly Record:

“Simon is convinced I will make a fool of myself and he hasn’t been very encouraging.

“I thought he would try to stop me doing the show so I didn’t tell him until I had already signed and had been skating for a little bit.

“Now that I have had eight weeks practice, I think he will have to admit he got it wrong. e one thing now that matters more than anything else is getting a “Wow” from Simon.

“I said if I made it to the nal, I would wear the banana leaf costume I wore on e X Factor but I think it would be more fun if he had to put it on as a way of apologising for doubting me.

“Either that or I will make him promise to donate a huge amount of money to charity – but the banana leaves would be my first choice.”
