Dancing On Ice 2012: Andy Akinwolere thinks Louie Spence voted him off because he didn’t fancy him!
Andy Akinwolere has claimed that Louie Spence voted him off Dancing On Ice on Sunday night, because he doesn’t fancy him.
The Blue Peter star became the first celebrity to be eliminated from the ITV show at the weekend, after ending up in the bottom two and the skate off with Sugababes singer Heidi Range.
When it came to the judges vote, Louie Spence saved Heidi saying she was more ‘refined and polished’. Katarina Witt saved Andy, because she felt he was the ‘better skater.’ The decision then lay with head judge Robin Cousins and he picked Heidi, saying ‘I like a bit of sugar with my babe.’
Spence had earlier told Andy that his skating was ‘too floppy’ but hitting back in The Sun, Akinwolere said:
“Too floppy! Perhaps Louie doesn’t like me? Perhaps I’m not his type? I can’t be everyone’s type. Come on, Louie!”
He added:
“I’m really gutted, I wasn’t expecting it at all. I felt disappointed by Louie’s comments because I felt marked quite harshly.
“One of the hardest things was being marked on my dancing, which was one of the things I felt most passionate about. I’ve never been a trained dancer but I just thought I’d give it some welly. I don’t know what the agenda was.”
His professional partner Maria Filippov added:
“I strongly disagree with Louie. I don’t think Andy is a person without rhythm — that was completely wrong and many people said that.
Many viewers bombarded Unreality TV with comments and emails after the results show and most seemed to be of the opinion that children’s TV star Mark Rhodes should have been the one to leave the series.

What a disgrace, did not watch dancing on ice last year, gave it a chance on Sunday only to see the worst scater survive. make a complete mockery of the program + having to look at Louie and listed to his drivel is the big turn off. Sorry, wont be watching dancing on ice again this year. Good bye.
What a bad loser. You’re out get over it. What says he HAS to save u? Why cant he save Heidi? Neither deserved to go but of the bottom 2 I’d have saved Heidi aswell, and Robin did too. And he scored higher than a lot of the on Sunday so I dont know why he thinks the marks were harsh. If anything I thought Andy was overmarked. He was good but nothing amazing
I agree it should have been Mark that went out first, he couldn’t even straighten up! Andy was a better skater and his dancing was great. It’s probably all the children voting for one of there more recent presenters!
In my opinion the judges have blown it on week one, the same as last year, when they kept someone in week after week, by putting her in the middle of the board, when it wasn’t deserved. I had no idea who Andy A was before the show, but having watched and re-watched, I think he was under marked and over criticised and a potential finalist, with natural ability. It is much harder to fulfil a demanding punchy routine than be towed around gracefully to a slow tune. Neither should have been in the skate off, but least of all Andy. I defy the judges to justify themselves with a commentary actually over the performances.

got it so wrong the worst skater has stayed in okay the public do vote put these two in the skate off and the judges cock it up that type of result does not give me the will to watch anymore get jason back instead of i love myself louis jason was scathing at times and to personal but he was fair better than the teacake who replaced him
Just watched the recording of the results, what a fix, Heidi did not take ONE step on her own, Andy was the star and skated on his own most of his routine.
So wrong. Judges should vote on first two weeks so worst skaters go. Don’t think i will watch it again now
Loui and Robin are a waste of time, Andy was definately the better skater.
