Dancing On Ice 2012: Contestants lineup revealed?

Dancing On Ice is still two months away, but already we have a fair idea of who will be competing on the ITV show.
The channel will allow us all a few weeks break from reality TV after the end of The X Factor this Christmas, but soon into the new year they will foist the seventh series of their ice skating show onto our Sunday nights.
They appear to have gathered up a pretty decent bunch of celebrities for next year’s run too and for once, we recognise the names of almost every star rumoured to be taking part….all except for the token sportsman!

Good line up can’t wait to see who is paired with who
Have you read the news papers? Keith Chegwin is out due to a broken rib , but will return next year. Also taking part is Corey Feldman, the “token” American celebrity. Now all we need is one more guy and the two reserve celebrities, one of them who may have already been called up. (If they are going back to the original number of Celebrities)
But remember it is still early days now, These names were announced in the past month. The show only begins in the New Year. People, like Chegwin can injure themselves, thus forcing them out of the competition.

Dancing on Ice is the show I always look forward to watching after Christmas. However, I have to say that if Christine Bleakly is replacing Holly then I won’t be watching this year. She is cringe making and I can’t watch her. Surely if Holly has chosen to leave there are other female presenters who would be more acceptable than Christine Bleakly. Be prepared for your ratings to drop !
I agree that if Christina Bleakly presents the show i will certainly switch off, she is so boring.

Your shows (including Strictly Dancing on the other channel) always seem to select ONE who will make a fool of himself,or herself, yet one the public keep voting for, because they are not capable of performing like they should, and they make them laugh. I would like for once, to see a serious crowd of celebs who can be really good, and not idiots.

Absolutey love DOI, The awful Christine Bleakly in place of the lovely Holly though?? VERY bad decision, and I for one will not be tuning in to have to endure her for over an hour. Surely someone else was available and would have jumped at the chance? On top of that Emma and Jason to be axed for Louie Spence?? Massive joke. People behind the scenes……….PLEASE RECONSIDER!!!
I love DOI but this year will not be watching, Christine Bleakley will kill it off people will switch off in droves. BIG MISTAKE

I too agree with all the comments posted, i.e. ratings will drop if Christine Bleakley ends up being c-presenter along side Phillip Schofield. If Emma Bunton has been sacked as a judge, why not give her the opportunity to co-present with Phillip
I agree, Paul, Emma would be far far better as co-presenter than that absolutely awful Bleakley woman. I stopped watching early morning ITV because of her and never watched the One Show on BBC for the same reason. I now watch BBC Breakfast which is a purely news orientated programme than a magazine show.
I love the show but unfortunately I only recognise one name this year. Why dont some more popular people sign pn for this wonderful extravaganza????????????????

Not too sure if I want to watch Christine Bleakley. She is so boring and has no sparkle. If you want to loose viewers then carry on with her. I was so please to hear that she was leaving Daybreak. What on earth made you choose her. Will ruin a brilliant show. But do get rid of Jason.
Never heard of any of the so called celebs, but agree that replacing Holly with Christine Bleakley is a BIG mistake, as is replacing Jason with Louis Spence – please reconsider and try to find an ice skating expert to judge an ice skating show!!! I love the skating so will watch on the look again service so I can fastforward through the awful bits.
HUGE mistake replacing Holly with Christine (big yawn) and an even BIGGER mistake putting Louis Spence in place of Jason, it will turn into the Louis Spence show. Big turn off so will not be tuning in this year even though it is one of my favourite shows.
I agree Holly will be a great miss. Why replace her she is a big part of the show. Celebs ok could do with David Beckham maybe he will make an appearance on show with it being Olympic year. Live in hope!!!

Where have you been for the last couple of years? Louis Spence is the artistic director of the Pineapple Dance Studio and is one of the few people I would like to replace that horribly rude and dis-respectful Aussie Poof Jason Gardiner. If he can be personally rude so can I. Louis is so lissom and can get his body into possitions I wish I could when I was dancing 50+ years ago.
This years list of celebrity contestants seems to have a large proportion of older people who if they fell badly were in grave danger of breaking a leg or worse. Laila Morse is 66; Rosemary Conley 65; Keith Cheqwin 54; Ian Walker, Sadie Frost & Chesney Hawkes are all over 40 and the remainder range from the youngest Jorgie Porter 24 to Andy Whyment at 30.
Anyone who falls on the ice is in grave danger of breaking a bone, whether you are 16 or 60. Breaks on the ice happen for the most innocuous ways. Also Doreen calling Jason Garnder a “poof” is just plane ignorant on your part, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Ant, you are clearly showing your own ignorance by not spelling words correctly. plain not plane; Gardiner not Gardner. My use of ‘poof’ was justified, I’m a 70 year old widowerd pensioner and this was the accepted term in my younger days, plus I did excuse myself if you read my comment correctly.

I have followed DOI since the show first started and went to see all the tours but the professional favourites are vaniahing , where is Andrei Lipanov, and Fred and Mel,
But the biggest mistake you are making is replacing Holly with Christine Blakely — Time to switch off ….
For all you miserable pre-judgemental critics,, I think this DOI is gonna be better,, good line up of contestants,, new judges I think louis spence will be an attributed factor he’s just ay-may-zing,, he’ll be a lot better than jason gardiner he became laborious after a while,, and as for the presenters I’m glad they giving christine bleakley not (blakely) a chance to present it,, I’d much rather her to holly. Holly shuld just stick to this mornin and celebrity juice,, and also for all you critics why cut off your nose to spoil your face the show is about skating not the presenters or judges,, if you’re proper DOI fans like me you wouldn’t let that bother you!!!!!!!!!

Im with natalie .. A true fan watches for the skating not the presenters .. I love DOI its the one show I would love to be on . I think this year , like every other year , we will warm to celebs that we have never heard of because of the skating .. Thats what its all about .

Will be a bleak programme with Bleakley – horrible woman.
The only reason Christine is doing DOI, is because Holly left to host ‘The Voice’ on BBC, and itv are paying her a complete fortune to do nothing at the moment (seeing she got axed from Daybreak). She’s on something like a 3 year deal worth about £4 million. They might as well put her on DOI, and save themselves a bit of money. Plus if your a real DOI fan, why are you bothered about the presenter. All she’s going to be doing us saying hello and asking judges for their comments. Really don’t understand why people are boycotting it over the choice of presenter. Fair enough she got axed from daybreak but that’s because it’s a news program, and people didn’t take her seriously enough on that show. I think this is right up her street, she wouldn’t be my first choice of a replacement, but you know what, i say Good luck to her.
I didn’t watch The One Show because of her and switched to BBC Breakfast when GMTV finished so as not to see her and Adrian Chiles on Daybreak. I HATE her in any way, shape or form.
Doreen Andrews, ‘HATE’ is a pretty strong word; what did she ever do to you? Okay fine, she’s not the best presenter in the world, and I do prefer Holly, but that level of vehemence towards her is kind of uncalled for.
Everyone else, fair enough if you don’t like her, but it’s her that’ll be taking home the money, regardless of your opinion on the matter. I doubt ITV is going to care is a few people boycott the program because of petty issues towards the presenters; stop being childish and move out of the way to make room for the REAL FANS.

I love Dancing on ice. The best tv show ever. Cant wait for this years to start and i have heard of nearly all the celebs
. Wished they had got someone like Hayley Tammadon to co host tho as i really dont think many people will like christine. Personally i ve never watched anything with her as a presenter so will be interesting to see what shes like

I am really disappointed that Holly won’t be co-presenting with Phillip. She will be missed but understand her need to move on to do other things and develop her career. Christine is doing the same and should be given a chance to show us how she presents primetime telly without Adrian Chiles
Mind you we will still have the lovely Matt Evers and even lovlier Daniel Whiston to admire. I really have missed DOI. Looking forward to the new season and seeing who will be dancing with who and how Louis will fill Jason’s shoes.
I have reason to believe that Christine Bleakley is not suited for Dancing on Ice plus i do hope that the ITV bosses are reading all these comments and ask her NOT to present the show with Philip get someone who is more glamerous and knows a bit about skating i will watch the first show just to watch Christine make a fool of herself then im sorry its switch off time until they someone better than her sorry

I can’t stand christine bleakly why pick her why not suzanne shaw who won the competition she would be great compaired to miss bleakly. And I didnt like jason glad he’s gone but why is lois spence on the panel powers that be sort it out or you will go the same way as x factor and the morning sunrise went down the pan. I’l still be watching though.
Why have they got Christine “boring” Bleakly to present! They should have got Laura Hamilton from Last years series she is a presenter and would have been so much better with phillip.
Plus side I love Louis spence! He will be be brilliant! Also Karen Barber is back where she belongs and wont have to put up with any more jibes from Jason.
Going to miss Jason the show needs people like him who can speak their mind, but the biggest mistake is christine bleakley she is terrible!

Most of the above comments I agree with, presenter wise why did Coleen Nolen not get the job as she has filled in for Holly before. I am undecided about Lois Spence as have not seen much of him but do know who he is. I bet those who say the don’t know the contestans will recognise them once they see them and remember their cast names. No I am not looking forward to Christine as I also switched off GMTV for the same reason just hope they do not try and replace Philip with Adrian (he seems to follow Christine like a puppy dog) as that WILL kill the programme.
Hooray I have just read that Christine Bleakley is considering going to USA for Simon Cowell to present Xfactor USA now that Frank Lampard has be offered a place with David Beckhams team there. Good luck Christine, they said they could not undersand Cheryl Coles accent I wonder what they will make of you and yours
