Jorgie Porter became the bookies favourite contestant to win Dancing On Ice earlier this week, so the Hollyoaks actress had a lot to live up to, before she took to the rink this evening.

The blonde beauty admitted beforehand that she was nervous about pulling off some of the difficult moves, contained in her Valentines themed routine, with her professional partner Matt Evers. However, she insisted that she ‘likes a challenge’ and she worked hard to get not just the moves right but also the romance and the conflict behind the song.

This evening Jorgie looked amazing in a turquoise blue gown and front the start, her and Matt’s routine to Alicia Keys’ ‘Falling’ was action packed and constant. She pulled off some amazing lifts and quick step sequences, but for us the emotion of the piece was the most impressive part of it. Her acting background really shone through.

The judges loved it too and although Jorgie got the highest score of the series to date last week with her 24, tonight she surpassed it and landed 26 from the panel.

JUDGES COMMENTS:

KATARINA WITT: You are really awesome, you really touched me too. I almost forget to look at your skating skills because of all the romance and tension.

LOUIE SPENCE: It actually broths a tear to my eye, it was so beautiful. I was breathless. You don’t need experts when you see beauty lie that, anyone can see it was a beautiful performance.

ROBIN COUSINS: It’s not only about seeing it, it’s about feeling it. You got better and the rest was breathtaking and beautiful!
