Dancing On Ice 2012: Louie Spence’s American TV project put on hold?
Louie Spence is said to be disappointed, as it looks like a show he hoped would launch him into the American TV market, has been put on hold in definitely.
The Dancing On Ice judge traveled to the States last year and filmed ‘Louie Spence’s Dance Project’, which was supposed to air on Oprah Winfrey’s TV network – OWN ‘The Oprah Winfrey Network’ – soon after.
He had hoped that this would be the start of his move into the big time and the beginning of life as an internationally famous star, however it looks like Louie’s dreams may be dashed, as it has been claimed that the show has been put on hold and may never air.
A source told The Daily Star: “It’s a terrible blow to Louie because he thought he wanted to crack America.”
Last night, a spokesman for Spence said: “Since Louie recorded his series for the US, there have been some staff changes at the station.
“Executives have moved on and new people have come on board.
“At the moment we don’t know when they plan to show it.”
Spence is still busy in the UK though and last night, he and his fellow ice panel judges sent 64 year old fitness guru Rosemary Conely home, after she competed in a skate off against ski champion Chemmy Alcott.
The remaining contestants have a tough job ahead, as Torvill and Dean announced that this week they would face not only a solo routine, but also the Ultimate Skills Test along with a triple skate off and double elimination on Sunday.
