Dancing On Ice 2012: Sebastien Foucan almost pulls off a Russian split jump for Robin Cousins! (VIDEO)

Sebastien Foucan has admitted that he finds appearing on Dancing On Ice more risky than he did performing stunts on the James Bond Casino Royale movie in 2006, but that didn’t make him any more cautious on the rink tonight.
The French star and his partner Brianne Delcourt took to the ice, to perform their romantic routine, for the love themed episode this evening but the freerunner revealed beforehand that he would be attempting the Russian split jump, as only attempted by Ray Quinn before. It was a special lift, often used in Robin Cousins’ early performances and the head judge confessed that he was looking forward to seeing if Seb could pull it off.
The routine started and we loved the whole floral, cheesy romance feel of the rink and costumes. Seb looked a little shaky during one or two of the lifts and we were very worried about whether or not he could pull of this jump, however he did and while it wasn’t the most graceful move we have ever seen, he didn’t fall, which has to be something.
His score remained around the same level and while last week he brought in 21.5, this week the judges awarded him 21.
JUDGES COMMENTS:
KATARINA WITT: We saw a different side of you today, it was a more romantic side. I liked the speed and your smile alone let the ice melt.
LOUIE SPENCE: It was a lovely performance and it was something I thought I would never see from you Sebastien. It was gentle, soft and romantic and you have really come on. Well done.
ROBIN COUSINS: Your body isn’t trained to do that, but you made it work. You did it from no speed at all, what was great is the quality of your skating and the smoothness and speed you still have. Really nice again tonight.
