It’s official, I’m hooked! Two shows in and I can’t leave my sofa to even make a cup of tea whilst Dancing On Ice is on.

It’s amazing how just a few weeks ago I was worried that my favourite ice dancing show wouldn’t cut the mustard with its lacklustre list of celebs (bar a few), new judges and move back to Elstree from Shepperton.

Even the judges have my approval, and you really have no idea how much Louie Spence normally annoys me but weirdly in this he doesn’t irritate me at all, in fact I am finding myself warming to him immensely.

Tonight’s show, the second really of the opening shows, was even better than last week, the standard the celebrities have set themselves this year is extraordinarily high. My favourite performances tonight were Matthew Wolfenden (David in Emmerdale) and (I cant believe I’m about to say this…) Chico and Jennifer Ellison, celebrities whose names I would probably never ordinarily mention! In fact I think along with Jorgie and Chemmy from last week they are the celebrities that we will see improving week on week and will be in the show for the long haul.

I can never call the skate off of the first shows, but if think Laila and Corey may be in danger tonight. I guess we shall have to wait and see. I hope if Corey gets any further on in the competition someone tells him to cut that bloody annoying bit of hair off! Until next time…
