Dancing On Ice 2012 Week Four twist – Heidi Range beats Charlene Tilton (VIDEO)
Sugababes singer Heidi Range found herself up against Dallas star Charlene Tilton on tonight’s Dancing On Ice show.
As part of this week’s twist, each couple were placed in an on ice duel against another pair, of comparable skating talent, and all four had to skate different routines to the same music.
Afterwards the judges revealed that they would choose the best performing pair, and grant them immunity from elimination.
This evening both ladies and their partners skated to Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers’ ‘Islands In The Stream’ looking stunning in their black outfits.
Charlene started proceedings and while we love the older contestant, and on the ice she is very smooth and graceful, she does get lifted quite a lot and the independent skating was kept to a minumum.
On the other hand, we felt that Heidi Range had more solo skating. Her lifts also seemed slightly more difficult, her lines were just beautiful and she was definitely more steady on the ice.
JUDGES COMMENTS:
ROBIN COUSINS: It’s a difficult one. Heidi you really pushed yourself this week with the skating, Charlene you ingratiate yourself every time you step onto the ice but I would like to see you push as much as Matthew is pushing you around the ice. I am awarding immunity to Heidi.
LOUIE SPENCE: Charlene you were a little safe, you could have pushed yourself more. Heidi you really pushed yourself and you realised you had competition on the ice this week. For that reason I am giving immunity to Heidi.
KATARINA WITT: Heidi you do look more comfortable and you are gaining confidence, I am awarding immunity to it Heidi.
