Zara Phillips is reportedly planning a visit to the Dancing On Ice studios, where she will cheer on her pal Chemmy Alcott who is competing on the show.

Zara is the second child and only daughter of Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips and is 13th in the line of succession to the throne.

After Camilla turned up on the set of Strictly Come Dancing, it seems that reality TV is the in place for Royal visits and insiders say Phillips is keen to support ski champion Chemmy, over the course of the 2012 series.

Zara is a bit of a ski fanatic – as well as a horse riding enthusiast – and is said to have gotten very close to blonde beauty Chemmy, as they took to the slopes together on various occasions. The five times British National Ski Champion even attended Zara’s royal wedding to rugby star Mike Tindall last year.

Alcott made her ice debut last night, on the first show of the current series and received high praise from skating expert and judge Robin Cousins, who praised her routine with professional Sean Rice saying:

“You had such power and speed on the ice, and Sean had to keep up with you! You performed as if it’s in your blood and as if you do it every day. It was fantastic.”
