Ashley Roberts has admitted that it can get uncomfortable sitting between Jason Gardiner & Karen Barber on Dancing On Ice.
The I’m A Celebrity star joined the panel of the ITV show earlier this month and currently sits between the two warring judges, who have barely spoke since they argued on the 2011 series of the ice skating competition.
Speaking on This Morning she revealed that she does sometimes get worried that they will kick off around her and explained:
“They definitely have different opinions and ways of communicating their opinions, yes. I feel like a little bit of a buffer, there’s a lot of tension on either side.”
“Karen did kind of throw out a little hand gesture the other night and I was like ‘uh oh, serious stuff is happening…..here we go.'”
Jason told Beth Tweddle that he was ‘bored to Beth’ by her routine during week one and blasted Olympic boxer Luke Campbell for being a ‘weak little boy.’ Ashley confessed that sometimes his comments can be uncomfortable and laughed:
“He has no filter, not one at all but that’s Jason and that’s his opinion.”
However she thinks the panel needs dance and performance experts like her and the choreographer and said they are there to judge ‘how they are committing to the choreography, the piece of music, the performance, their passion.’
‘It does kind of balance it out a bit.’
Dancing On Ice returns this Sunday night and there are a few front runners that Roberts is looking forward to watching again. She commented:
“There are some solid people, Samia [Ghadie] really stepped up on Sunday and gave us some solid fierceness, I’m really excited about that. Gareth [Thomas] is really strong and I’m really excited about that, Beth [Tweddle] is strong.
