Dancing On Ice star and Olympic boxer Luke Campbell has revealed that he keeps accidentally groping his pro-skating partner Jenna Smith while they rehearse for Luke’s DOI performances.
Embarrassed Luke, who’s engaged to model Lynsey Kraanen – the couple have two children – revealed, “There are some embarrassing slips when my hand is on her breast.
“I’m shy by nature and for the past how many years have spent my time with one woman so I do cringe when I do that…
“Lynsey is understanding and often jokes I should make the routines sexier!
“But Jenna is a pal and we have a laugh.”
However, though Luke is evidently having a good time on the show, there is a serious side to his taking part in the show as he wants to prove what he’s capable of doing and be role model to young kids.
Speaking to TV Biz, he said, “I had a tough time growing up. There wasn’t many opportunities.
“I had lots of different jobs. I even knocked on doors to see if people wanted cleaning done. I always had that get-up-and-go…
“But I could have ended on the streets if not for boxing.
“I was diagnosed with dyslexia at 14 and people write you off as stupid, but it’s not that.
“I still struggle a bit with spelling and reading and often ask people how to spell their names when I write an autograph.”
Luke, who supports youth volunteer charity vinspired.com, added, “I try to be someone kids look up to.
“They need to know I was in their position but worked hard and achieved.
“Getting up in the morning when it is dark, every time I left my family I got homesick. But you keep doing it because there is a bigger picture.”
Dancing On Ice of course continues tomorrow night, but for now, here’s a look at Luke’s performance last weekend…
