Dancing On Ice 2013: Matt Lapinskas takes a bad fall while rehearsing with Luke Campbell & Gareth Thomas
Matt Lapinskas could be more than a bit black and blue when he appears on Dancing On Ice this weekend, as he really has been putting everything into his rehearsals this week.
On the last show of the ITV series all the judges commented on Matt’s tentative performance and said he had lost his spark, after ending up in the previous skate off, against Shayne Ward.
After his Love Week performance Jason Gardiner said:
“That wasn’t the same Matt that we’re used to seeing. You lost a bit of something special tonight. I wanted something better from you tonight.”
The former Eastenders star is determined to bring the spark back, but he’s taken a few tumbles as he throws his all into rehearsals and as you can see in the pictures some of them look quite painful.
In one shot the hunk can be seen performing with his professional partner Brianne Delcourt, when he trips over his own skate and goes head first towards the rink.
However, he was soon up and at it again as he and his team mates practiced their routine to MC Hammer’s U Can’t Touch This.
Matt will captain one team for this week’s challenge and he chose Luke Campbell and Gareth Thomas to join him as they go head to head with Beth Tweddle and her teammates Samia Ghadie and Keith Chegwin.
Lapinskas seems pretty psyched about the challenge and tweeted:
“So this week it’s group number me @gareththomas14 and @luke11campbell going to bring it! #TeamMatt x”
“So I’m waiting for my music for this weeks @dancingonice routine! What are we thinking! I think upbeat! Lets get Matt back on that ice!!!”
