Dancing On Ice bosses to fire “aesthetically-challenged” skaters

Dancing On Ice bosses are said to be looking for some sexier skaters for their next series of the show.
The Sun reports that show execs hope to bring on some professionals who have the potential to become as famous as the Strictly Come Dancing pros, but it will mean getting rid of some of their “aesthetically-challenged” skaters.
A show source told The Sun: “Bosses have been aware for some time their professionals are a rare-looking bunch. They might get by with their sequins on but they look rough in training scenes.”
They added: “Apart from pulling and pushing their partners around, the pros just don’t have a role on Dancing On Ice.
“On Strictly the dancers are almost as famous as the celebs. We need that from our skaters and the cast we’ve got just isn’t cutting it. No new contracts have been given to any of the stars yet.”
I personally think that this is a pretty disgusting story and if true would prove that ITV will do just about anything to increase their ratings. I can’t think of one ugly DOI skater, in fact some of the men are decidedly dishy in all that skin-tight getup!

This has got to be the media exaggerating. As you say none are ugly and to be honest you are watching the skating and possibly the bum in the nice tight lycra.

I do think that this is absolutley ridiculous. All of the DOI professionals are famous, look at the following that Daniel Whiston, Matt Evers, Fred Palascak, Melanie Lambert and Kristina Lenko have.
By doing this, surely ITV are going to LOSE viewers? People have grown to like and respect most of the DOI professional stars, particulary those who have been in the show since the first few series.
The only professional who I feel is lacking in the “asthetics” department is Frankie. She looks rough in the training videos and even worse when she has her make-up on. She’s not even a nice person anyway. When we saw the tour in Sheffield on Sunday at the end of the show, everyone else went to shake hands with the people in the rink side seats, she just stood there!

I’m outraged at the fact they are even considering to let some of these amazing pros go!!!! Like come on Matt Evers not good looking in training!!!! GET A GRIP!!!! It should not be on looks its their ability and ALL the pros deserve to stay if they so please! And Strictly Come Dancing is a completely different show and DOI pros should not be compared to their pros!
Cant believe some people!
