Dancing On Ice 2008: Gareth Gates

Dancing On Ice competitors, Greg Rusedski And Gareth Gates, have been struck down by a severe tummy bug. The illness has left them unable to do any real training this week and now they only have three full days in which to learn their new routines.

A show source told The Sun: “The boys are really sick. It’s hard because they’re both competitive and just want to get out there.

“The other stars hope this means they’ve got the edge.”

    Poor lads, I think Gareth will be safe as his skating is good so even if he has to adapt his routine to be more basic it would work. Whereas Greg is not such a good skater and usually gets low marks so he may struggle this week.

    That’s rough on them both. Not sure its wise for either of them to skate if they’ve had a nasty bug. Probably neither of them would want to put in a below par routine, which is probably what would happen.
