Caustic tongued Jason Gardiner has reportedly been axed from ITV’s Dancing On Ice.

Jason was the cause of hundreds of complaints during last year’s series when he compared competitor Sharron Davies to faecal matter. Bosses are now reportedly planning to replace him with Louie Spence from Pineapple Dance Studios.

An ITV source told The Sunday Mirror: “Jason went too far and he’s paying the price for it now.

“There’s a very fine line between ­offering constructive criticism and being downright rude. In the end he became a liability.”

The source added: “Jason became a victim of his own success.”
