Dancing On Ice: Jason Gardiner reveals his £35,000 hair transplants

Jason Gardiner has finally removed his silly cap and revealed his brand new head of hair.

The Dancing On Ice judge admitted that he splurged a whopping £35,000 on hair transplants and loves his new look.

The acid tongued judge told The News Of The World:

“It was important for me to get this done. I feel so great about how it looks.”

“I felt resentful that I’d had to give in to being bald.”

“It affected me psychologically. I went through self-doubt, depression and self-loathing. I was ashamed of myself. I couldn’t be intimate with people. It was a nightmare. It was suffocating me actually, the realisation that I could never change it.”

Jason has been teased in recent weeks by show host Phillip Schofield about the ‘magic’ under his hat but he admitted that he actually had the surgery on his scalp last July.

Doctors planted more than 3,000 follicles over his bald spot and Gardiner explained:

“You don’t see any growth for between six and seven months. My new hair only started coming through in January. But eventually – and it is almost overnight – you can actually feel it growing.

“It’s a bizarre sensation that feels like spiders on your head. I was absolutely loving it. And I will never lose this hair now!”

Good on him! I’m not a fan of his, but I can fully sympathise with him suffering from pattern baldness myself. Hopefully this treatment will be as widely accepted just like boob jobs are without the stigma or shame.
